I'm a translator from Croatia. I had always wanted to learn martial arts so during my studies in Italy I began practicing Aikido. It was definitely the right choice, and I stuck to it for years. However, after moving to the Netherlands in order to improve my dutch, I was faced with the challenge of finding a new dojo. I tried to find one closeby which teaches the style I like, I even tried my hand at Muay-Thai, but wasn't satisfied. Eventually, I took a Jiu-Jitsu class at the USC and quickly fell inlove with it. The classes are fun, highly instructive, and given by the best teachers who also have experience in other martial arts and can use that knowledge to give detailed and varied lessons. There are also numerous Jiu-Jitsu seminars and special classes from other martial arts. Aside from excellent teachers I also have the best ukes to train with. Basically, I came because of the martial art, but stayed because of the people!
